The Sensor Gateway in BlackBerry Radar H2 communicates with external wireless sensors such as BlackBerry Radar A2 and enables future integration with other sensors for enhanced visibility into asset status—with minimal energy consumption and optimized communication between the sensor and the primary device.

BlackBerry Radar A2

The BlackBerry Radar A2 wireless sensor communicates with BlackBerry Radar H2. Designed for operations with trailers or containers that need enhanced cargo visibility as well as cargo, the BlackBerry Radar A2 includes a unique cargo-sensing capability that determines cube utilization and provides door open/close alerts and environmental data.

R2 Cargo Percentage Detection

The BlackBerry Radar® R2 builds on the capabilities of BlackBerry Radar H2. Designed for operations that need enhanced cargo visibility and control of shipments, the BlackBerry Radar R2 includes a unique cargo-sensing capability that reads cube space utilization inside a container or trailer, regardless of whether the container’s door is open or closed.

  1. Except when the device is outside of cellular range. In these cases, the device will store the data and send it once the asset is in cellular range.
  2. The Sensor Gateway capabilities are only supported by the 273 Wh battery option.
  3. BlackBerry Radar-L and BlackBerry Radar H2 will only be able to detect door open/close or container on/off based on the type of asset and where the device is installed.
